In Trachslau near Einsiedeln in the canton of Schwyz, Kaelin Holztechnik AG & Kaelin Haus currently employs around 30 full-time employees and 5 apprentices. The company is owner-managed and can count on experienced employees with many years of service. In addition, we have long-standing relationships with partners in the fields of architecture, construction planning, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We specialize in high quality, custom wood element buildings, carpentry and interior finishes. Whether remodeling, construction or new construction, whether single-family homes, multi-family homes and commercial buildings – we look after our customers from the start of the project to the handover of the building and beyond. In doing so, the focus is always on the customer’s needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the increased energy awareness of the population and the return to wood as a material, our company has experienced steady growth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our history<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In 1978<\/strong>, after 16 years of professional experience, Hans K\u00e4lin founded the carpenter’s workshop of the same name as a “one-man business”. The field of activity was mainly the furniture and interior design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1979 <\/strong>the first apprentices are trained in the carpentry workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1982 – 1990<\/strong>, in order to fill gaps in the labor market, the company builds several turnkey chalets in traditional stud construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1984<\/strong>, the workshop is expanded and newer machines are purchased.

In 1998<\/strong>, the first wooden element house is built, thus creating a new branch for the diverse offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2001<\/strong>, son Christian completes his training as a federally certified technician TS.

2002 <\/strong>there is fresh wind in the company; Christian takes over the business with the three employees

2005 <\/strong>Wood construction is booming! A joinery hall is built next to the gravel plant in Trachslau for the production of the prefabricated houses. The company already has 12 employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2006<\/strong>, the sole proprietorship becomes a stock corporation.

2011 <\/strong>Construction work starts on an extension next to the existing joinery hall at the gravel plant.

2012 <\/strong>At the beginning of 2012, the timber construction production including a modern joinery center is put into operation in the new building. In the course of the year, the extension work of the new building progresses steadily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2013 <\/strong>At the beginning of the year, the offices are moved to the new building at Trachslauerstrasse 13. Shortly thereafter, the carpentry shop also moves into the former joinery hall (built in 2005). Now the whole company is united at one location under one roof. The company has almost 30 employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2013 <\/strong>The first carpenter successfully completes his apprenticeship at the company in the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2014 <\/strong>The sustainability of timber construction has also become established in multi-storey buildings. For the first time, a 5-story residential building (base floor solid, 4 floors timber construction) is built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2015 <\/strong>The “KHT Kafi” is opened on the first floor of the company building. The catering business is run independently of the KHT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2018 <\/strong>To round off the range of services, a timber construction engineer is hired, who from now on actively supports the timber construction planners..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2019 <\/strong>A grown company also needs new structures. The management team is being expanded and now consists of Christian K\u00e4lin (still managing director and main partner) and the two long-time employees Urs Kaelin and Stefan Schoenbaechler (both partners).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

2006<\/strong> wird aus der Einzelfirma eine Aktiengesellschaft.

2011<\/strong> Neben der bestehenden Abbundhalle beim Kieswerk starten die Bauarbeiten f\u00fcr einen Erweiterungsbau.

2012<\/strong> Anfang 2012 wird die Holzbau-Produktion samt modernem Abbund-Center im neuen Geb\u00e4ude in Betrieb genommen. Im Laufe des Jahres schreiten die Ausbauarbeiten des Neubaus stetig voran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2013 <\/strong>Zum Jahresanfang werden die B\u00fcror\u00e4umlichkeiten ins neue Geb\u00e4ude an der Trachslauerstrasse 13 verlegt. Kurz darauf erfolgt auch der Umzug der Schreinerei in die ehemalige Abbundhalle (erstellt 2005). Nun ist der gesamte Betrieb an einem Standort unter einem Dach vereint. Der Betrieb z\u00e4hlt nahezu 30 Mitarbeiter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2013<\/strong> Der erste Zimmermann schliesst im Sommer erfolgreich seine Berufslehre im Betrieb ab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2014<\/strong> Die Nachhaltigkeit des Holzbaus hat sich auch bei mehrgeschossigen Geb\u00e4uden etabliert. Erstmals wird ein 5-gesch\u00f6ssiges Wohnhaus (Sockelgeschoss massiv, 4 Stockwerke Holzbau) erstellt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2015<\/strong> Im Erdgeschoss des Betriebsgeb\u00e4udes wird das \u00abKHT Kafi\u00bb  er\u00f6ffnet. Der Gastro-Betrieb wird unabh\u00e4ngig von der KHT gef\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2018<\/strong> Zur Abrundung des Angebots, wird ein Holzbauingenieur eingestellt, welcher von nun an die Holzbauplaner tatkr\u00e4ftig unterst\u00fctzt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2019<\/strong> Ein gewachsenes Unternehmen bedarf auch neuen Strukturen. Die Gesch\u00e4ftsleitung wird erweitert und besteht neu aus Christian K\u00e4lin (weiterhin als Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer und Hauptteilhaber) und den beiden langj\u00e4hrigen Mitarbeitern Urs K\u00e4lin und Stefan Sch\u00f6nb\u00e4chler (beides Teilhaber).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
