Wood element construction – the Swiss raw material
Our prefabricated houses are based on the system element dry construction method. The well thought-out, fast and cost-effective construction method brings many advantages. Dry construction significantly shortens the construction time, since no unnecessary moisture is trapped in the house and, accordingly, it does not have to be brought out of the house again.
Whether modern or classic – in terms of architecture and design, there are hardly any restrictions when it comes to “wood” as a building material. There are almost no limits to shapes and colors. Even the interior design is basically no different from a brick-built house. The breathable and highly insulating building envelope is particularly suitable for low-energy and passive houses (Minergie®). We work with engineers and specialists who have studied this material for years. Last but not least, the renewable raw material “wood” also scores in terms of ecology and creates an exceptionally pleasant living climate.
Build ecologically
Our environment and related ecological building and living is close to our heart. We have committed ourselves that 80% of the wood we process comes from Switzerland. We have always achieved this goal over the past years.
We also use ecological and regional materials wherever possible and preferred for the remaining building materials. Ultimately, however, you as the customer decide which materials you prefer.
On the way to the Zero-energy house
Together with proven and innovative partners, we have developed, among other things, an innovative and environmentally friendly heating system. With it you save energy and money. The heating system is based on the use of renewable energy; it uses the energy of wood, the sun and the storage power of water.
With a cozy tiled stove in the living room (or even hidden in the basement) and hot water solar panels on the roof, we have managed to heat a 150m2 house with about 2 cubic meters of wood (i.e. about CHF 200.- cost per year for firewood) during one year. We will be happy to advise you on this topic.
